Introduction
TestPopups.mdb provides a way of testing the behaviour of forms with different combinations of the Form Properties, Popup, Modal, and Dialog.
The effects of hiding a Form, as opposed to closing a Form, can also be tested.
The first Form, fTestPopups is used as the starting point for opening the second Form, fPopup1, which in turn can be used to open the third Form, fPopup2 which can be used to open the Report, rPopup3.
Each Form follows a similar layout and has checkboxes to control how the next object opens.

Property Effects
The three Form Properties, Popup, Modal, and Dialog are all distinct but do have overlapping effects.

Popup Property:
Popup forces the Form or Report to appear on top of other Windows within Access. It does not prevent the focus from being moved to another Window. A Form or Report in the same Access Window may be wholly or partially hidden unless it is also in Popup mode.

Dialog Property:
Dialog forces the Form or Report to appear on top of other Windows within Access and prevents the focus from being moved to another Window.
A Form in Dialog mode can open another Form or Report but the target will not get the focus unless it is opened in Dialog or Modal mode.

Modal Property:
Modal causes the calling routine to be suspended until the called form is either closed or hidden.

The three properties, Popup, Modal, and Dialog can be chosen by the calling form in any combination by choosing the appropriate checkboxes.
When the OpenPopup button is clicked, the target is openened in DesignView/Hidden, the Popup and Modal properties are set using the values from the checkboxes, and the target is saved and closed.
The target is then opened in with the WindowMode as the Dialog checkbox. ****** put summat here ******** the values of Popup, Modal, and Dialog are passed in the

The other two checkboxes, AutoHide and AutoClose control the behaviour of the called form when the called form's OpenPopup button is clicked. If the Autohide checkbox is selected, the called form will hide itself when its Close button or its OpenPopup button is clicked. If the AutoClose checkbox is selected, the called form will close itself when its Close button or its OpenPopup button is clicked.
