Steps to play videos uploaded to a YouTube channel

Did you find an awesome YouTube channel and wish there was a way to play all the uploaded videos starting with the most recent?

In just a few minutes, you can create a link (URL) for a playlist with all the videos that a producer has uploaded. Like a query, this gives you the current videos whenever it is run so you can keep on using the link whenever you want to catch up (smile).

Playlists go from one video to the next without you having to do anything, so you can put them on when you're doing other things too (like paperwork, cleaning, or sleeping).

Step-by-Step How To construct URL to play all videos on a YouTube channel

A. Get the YouTube Channel ID

Go to the home page of a YouTube channel that you like by clicking on the channel name under a video play window.
for example:

https://www.youtube.com/@LearnAccessByCrystal
@LearnAccessByCrystal is the channel alias, not the actual channel ID. How do you get that?
append /about to the end of the URL (the link in the address bar of your browser) and press Enter
for example:

https://www.youtube.com/@LearnAccessByCrystal/about

if the URL has parameters, remove them first. Parameters start with ?
wait for the About popup box, scroll to the bottom, and click "Share channel"
from dropdown menu, click "Copy channel ID"

B. Modify the YouTube Channel ID to be a list name

Paste the Channel ID into Notepad or somewhere you can modify and construct
for example:
UC8wmnqUHcE_5DHhZwt5_31w
change the second character to "U" instead of "C", so it is a playlist name
for example:
UU8wmnqUHcE_5DHhZwt5_31w

C. Construct a URL for the channel upload playlist

Start URL with:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=

After the = sign, append your playlist name

for example:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UU8wmnqUHcE_5DHhZwt5_31w

D. Done! Go to the URL, and perhaps bookmark the page when you get there

Paste your constructed URL into the address bar of a browser and go there!

There are so many good videos on YouTube showing you how to do things. When I find a channel I really like, sometimes I just want to play whatever is posted. This gives you a way to do that.

For those of you wondering ... URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator and represents the address where a file is located and how to retrieve it. URLs can be appended with an internal location as well as parameters that specify behavior and/or pass information.
